This is the brand new WEY VV5, the somewhat smaller sister of the WEY VV7. The blue car on the photos is the sport version, called the VV5s. Launch on the Chinese market is scheduled for September. Price will range from about 120.000 to 160.000 yuan.

It really looks a lot like the VV7 but it is smaller on all sides with 4462/1857/1638 mm, and wheelbase 2680 mm. The VV5s is powered by a 2.0 turbo with 197 hp and 355 nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed DCT, sending horses to all four wheels.

The interior looks great quality wise albeit a bit dark. Steering wheel fit a very tick edge, three vents under the touch screen, and of course perforated pedals for more speed.

The high end versions of the VV5 get a fully digital 12.3 inch instrument panel, the cheaper versions go analogue. The main screen measures 9 inches. The infotainment system is equipped with Apple CarPlay and with Baidu CarLife.

Shorter than the VV7 but still loads of space in the back, as this sweet little lady kindly demonstrates. WEY logo under the window, black strip between the lights, race-car style brake light in the bumper, and those big fat pipes.
