The much-anticipated 2018 Kia Stinger V6 will start below AUD 50,000 when it goes on
sale in October this year.
The all-new five-door rear-drive Kia Stinger, which is powered by a 3.3-litre bi-turbo V6 petrol engine with
370 Hp of power and 510 Nm of torque, will be offered in three trim grades – the
entry-level S priced from AUD 48,990 (all prices plus on-road costs), the
mid-range Si from AUD 55,990 and the flagship GT, which slips at $59,990.
The 3.3-litre V6 bi-turbo
model will form the upper end of the Stinger pricing strategy, with a 2.0-litre
turbocharged four-cylinder variant (with 258 hp/353 Nm) to also be offered. Kia is yet to confirm that
pricing, but it will be similarly sharp. Both engines have
eight-speed automatic gearboxes standard, and there’s no manual available.
It seems a good price considering the
performance credentials of the all-new model. The Stinger will sprint from 0-100 km/h
in just 4.9 seconds thanks to its launch-control system, while Kia claims a “a
low 13 second standing quarter”.
The Australian media launch of the new Kia Stinger
is happening in late September.
