Kawasaki Motor Indonesia has updated the Kawasaki
Z250 ABS with new Red body colour in Indonesia. The bike costs IDR 60,3 million.
The bike features a new red and black paint job, new
graphics, and it also gets gold-finished alloy wheels. Mechanically, the bike
remains unchanged. The Z250 employs a 249 cc parallel twin DOHC 8-valve engine
with liquid cooling and fuel-injection. It generates 32 PS of power at 11,000
rpm and 21 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a
6-speed gearbox.
For suspension, the bike uses a 37 mm telescopic
fork at the front; and a bottom-link Uni-Trak gas-charged monoshock at the rear
with a 5-way adjustable preload. The gold wheels are shod with 110-section
front and 140-section tyre at the rear.
The bike comes to a halt using 290 mm petal disc at
the front and a 220 mm petal disc at the rear. The bike features a dual channel
ABS to prevent the wheel from locking during hard braking. The Z250 tips the
scale at 168 kg, and gets a 17-litre fuel tank.
Design wise, the Z250 takes inspiration from its
bigger brethren, the Kawasaki Z900 and the Kawasaki Z1000. The Japanese brand
also participated at the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS
2017).
