The rather mysterious Aspark Owl supercar has made
its global premiere at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show.
Hailing from Japan, the Owl is constructed almost
entirely from carbon fiber and is driven by an all-electric powertrain with approximately
1,000 hp. The company has made the audacious claim that it’ll accelerate from
0-100 km/h in less than 2 seconds, enough to make it the fastest
accelerating road car - well, if proven, that is.
The Frankfurt show car looks far more complete than
the bare carbon example presented online last week and has a silver paint
scheme as well as a fully-fitted cream-colored interior.
Its reported that development of the Owl has been
ongoing since 2014 and that details about the company’s production plans will
be announced in the coming weeks.
