Chery
Automobile has brought the Tiggo Coupe concept, an all-electric coupe-like SUV
to showcase “the company’s design progression and commitment to delivering
high-quality products”.
Unlike the Exeed TX, the Chery Tiggo Coupe concept
isn’t previewing a production model for Europe, at least not at the moment.
Sitting on a modular architecture, the crossover
coupe concept is powered by an all-electric powertrain, comprised by a 160 hp
electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. Chery claims a 0-100 km/h in seven seconds and a top speed of over 200 km/h. But the most
impressive claim is the driving range, which is up to 500 km.
The Tiggo Coupe also features “an innovative and
highly efficient battery charging system” which also includes inductive
charging. Chery says the battery can be fast-charged to 80 percent of its
capacity in just 20 minutes, with a full charge taking just two hours.
Other standout features include the interactive
steering wheel which can be folded and used as a game controller to play video
games when the car is in its autonomous driving mode.
