Jeep's Scott Tallon said there
are only a handful of companies building performance crossovers and SUVs
"so as this space develops, there could be an opportunity for anyone to
capitalize on it.
Tallon said the company doesn't have any immediate
plans for additional Trackhawk vehicles but, when asked, said a Renegade Trackhawk
would be "intriguing." There's no suggestion the model is currently
in the works but a Renegade Trackhawk could be relatively easy to produce as
Abarth offers an assortment of high-performance engines. In the meantime, the
Renegade can be equipped with an optional a 2.4-liter MutliAir four-cylinder
which develops 180 hp and 237 Nm of torque.
