Volkswagen will add a new variant to the Vento
lineup called the VW Vento ALLSTAR. Similar to the Polo ALLSTAR in terms of
feature additions, the special edition Vento will be introduced during the
Volkswagen Volksfest this month as part of its festive season releases.
These images of the VW Vento ALLSTAR edition have
been shared by Auto Arena. According to their report, the special edition is
based on the mid-level Comfortline trim of the Vento. As part of the ALLSTAR
package, the car gets Linas alloy wheels, Aluminium Pedals, Black and Grey
interior, Pentastripe Anthrazit Fabric seats, leather wrapper hand brake lever,
and ‘ALLSTAR’ badge on the scuff plate and B-pillar. There will also be a new
“Blue Silk” paint shade on offer.
The VW Vento is expected to have all the features of
the Comfortline variant apart from the new additions mentioned above. So, it
misses out on chrome detailing on the grille and front bumper. It is unclear
whether the cabin will receive a touchscreen infotainment system or not as the
Comfortline variant does without one.
The Vento petrol and diesel variants will be offered
in the ALLSTAR trim. Currently, Volkswagen offers the Vento with three engine
options – 1.6 L MPI Petrol (105 PS & 153 Nm), 1.2 L TSI Petrol (105 PS
& 175 Nm) and 1.5 L TDI Diesel (110 PS & 250 Nm). The 1.6 L petrol
comes with only a 5-speed manual transmission option while the 1.2 L petrol
gets a 7-speed DSG. The VW Vento diesel variant gets a choice of 5-speed manual
and 7-speed DSG gearboxes.
