Seat have opened the order books for their new
subcompact crossover, the Arona, ahead of its official UK launch scheduled for
November 17. Slotting under the Ateca, the Arona carries a £ 16,555 (US$ 21,837)
starting price.
Ordering the base model means having to settle for a
1.0-liter TSI petrol engine that makes 95 PS, but customers can also have
a more powerful version of the same unit that's rated at 115 PS.
Additionally, Seat offers a 150 PS 1.5-liter TSI, along with 95 PS and 115 PS versions of the 1.6-liter TDI diesels.
The new Seat Arona comes in six trim levels, with
the base model getting 17-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint with contrasting
roof, LED DRLs and taillights, front fog lights with cornering function, and
electrically-operated side mirrors.
Despite being in its most basic form, this version
of the subcompact crossover is also equipped with air conditioning, electric
windows all around, 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and chrome and
leather detailing.
