Bajaj Auto has officially launched the ABS version
of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. The motorcycle costs INR 109,715, ex-showroom,
Delhi.
The ABS variant of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 comes in
three colours – Wild Red, Mirage White and Graphite Black. It is now available
in all Metros and Bajaj will progressively introduce the bike across all
dealerships in the country.
The ABS variant continues to use the same 199.5cc
single cylinder SOHC engine. The liquid-cooled triple spark engine makes 23.5
PS at 9,500 rpm; and 18.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a
6-speed gearbox. Cycle parts include telescopic front fork, and a rear Nitrox
monoshock.
The motorcycle also gets a distinct ABS stickering
on the front fender. ABS helps in preventing the wheel from locking up during
braking hard. It thus provides better control of the bike while decelerating
suddenly. The non-ABS variant of the bike costs INR 97,216, (INR 12,499
cheaper) ex-showroom Delhi. The NS200 is now the cheapest ABS offering in the
country from Bajaj. The bike competes with TVS Apache RTR 200 and Yamaha FZ25
in the segment.
