Jeep recently gave the Renegade a host of
improvements for 2018 but it appears the company is also working on a
facelifted model.
Motor1 noticed a couple of images posted to
Instagram by Renegadejeeps and they appear to show a modestly revised model
with an updated front fascia. The styling changes are incredibly subtle but the
crossover has been equipped with an updated front bumper which includes new air
intakes and repositioned fog lights. Additional changes are limited but the
grille has been tweaked and the model features LED headlights which mimic those
on the 2018 Wrangler.
The single interior image doesn't reveal much but it
appears the cabin will largely carryover. This isn't too surprising as the
interior was recently updated with new seat fabrics, updated bezel treatments,
two additional storage compartments, and a revised Selec-Terrain shifter.
Additional information is limited but the updated
model is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2018. It remains unclear
if there will be any performance modifications but the current Renegade is
offered with a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder producing 160 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Customers can also opt for a 2.4-liter
four-cylinder developing 180 hp and 237 Nm of torque.
