Astra Honda Motor (AHM), the authorised distributor
of Honda in Indonesia has launched the updated Honda Vario eSP in the country.
The updated Honda Vario eSP features refreshed graphics, colour combinations,
and new cast alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The Elegant colour version is
available on both CBS (Combi Braking System) and CBS-ISS (Idling Stop System),
which get two-tone colours on the bodywork. The Advance Matte Grey colour
variant gets matte finish with monogram graphics.
Power for the Honda Vario eSP comes from a 108.2 cc
single cylinder SOHC engine with fuel injection. The powerplant makes 8.7 PS at
7,500 rpm, and 9.1 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine mates with a V-Matic
transmission. Fuel efficiency stands at 59 km/l as per ECE R40 testing methods.
Other notable features include Answer Back System
which can be used with a remote that is connected with a key. It enables users
to search for their vehicles efficiently at a parking lot. The scooter also
comes with Side Stand Switch where the scooter cannot be turned on when the
stand is down; and Brake Lock which is useful to park the scooter in an
incline.
Suspension components include telescopic front
forks, and a single shock absorber at the rear. The scooter comes to a halt
using a disc at the front and drum brake at the rear, with CBS. Honda intends
to sell 100,000 units of the new scooter per month.
The scooter costs IDR 16,675,000 for the CBS
version; and IDR 17,475,000 for the CBS-ISS. It is available with a choice of
three colour variants- Estilo Black; Glam Red and Grande White. The Advance
Matte Grey is priced at IDR 16,775,000, – for the CBS version and IDR
17,575,000 for the CBS-ISS (all prices on the road, Jakarta).
