Porsche will expand the second-gen Panamera range in India with the launch of the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo soon. Its prices start at INR 2.08 crore. Porsche will sell the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo in India in two variants initially: Turbo and Turbo S E-Hybrid. The Turbo variant costs INR 2.08 crore, while the Turbo S E-Hybrid variant retails at INR 2.38 crore.

The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is 5,049 mm long, 1,937 mm wide and 1,432 mm tall. It has a 2,950 mm wheelbase. The Sport Turismo version is the first-ever Panamera with three rear seats (2+1). However, Porsche does offer an option of individual rear seats internationally. The Panamera Sport Turismo accommodates up to 520 litres in the boot, around 20 litres more than the Panamera. Folding the rear seats, the flat loading floor offers up to 1,390 litres of storage space, which is 50 litres more than the Panamera.

The Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo is powered by a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 petrol engine that puts out 550 PS and 770 Nm of torque. The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo is a plug-in hybrid. It uses a combination of a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 petrol engine and an electric motor. The combustion engine produces 550 PS and 770 Nm of torque, while the electric motor generates 136 PS and 400 Nm of torque. In all, there’s 680 PS and 850 Nm of torque at the driver’s disposal.

The 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission and the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) active AWD system are standard. The Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds (3.6 seconds with Sport Chrono Package) and has a top speed of 204 km/h. The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo gets the Sport Chrono Package as standard. It takes 3.4 seconds for a 0-100 km/h sprint and has a maximum speed of 310 km/h.

The Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo has a 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery to power the electric motor. Using a 3.6 kW charger and a 230-V, 10-A connection, the battery takes 6 hours to get fully charged. The charging time reduces to 2.4 hours when using the optional 7.2 kW charger and a 230-V, 32-A connection. The plug-in hybrid variant offers a pure electric driving range of 25-49 km in everyday driving.

The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo’s deliveries in India should commence early next year.
