Audi has launched the second generation Q5 in India
more than a year after it made its global debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in
September. The 2018 Audi Q5 range starts at INR 53.25 lakhs for
the Premium Plus Grade while the fully-loaded Technology Plus Grade is priced
at INR 57.60 lakhs.
Audi is offering the Q5 with a 2.0 L TDI diesel
engine good for 190 hp and 400 Nm. It has an ARAI certified fuel efficiency
rating of 17.01 km/l. The sole transmission option on offer is a 7-speed S
Tronic sending power to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro AWD system. Audi
claims that the SUV can hit a top-speed of 218 km/h and can accomplish the
0-100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds.
The 2018 Audi Q5 features LED headlights and LED
tail lights with dynamic indicators, 18 inch alloy wheels, 3-zone automatic
climate control, Leather/Leatherette seat upholstery, Audi Drive Select,
Panoramic sunroof, and 8 airbags as standard. The Technology Plus grade adds
MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch, Audi Virtual Cockpit, Audi Phone Box with
wireless charging, and adaptive suspension with damping control.
Rivals of the 2018 Audi Q5 include the Mercedes-Benz
GLC, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Volvo XC60 and the BMW X3.
