A few weeks ago, a post on Sisma Auto’s Facebook page stated the all-new 2018 Volvo XC60 would be launched in Malaysia soon. Now, it has been revealed the SUV will have an estimated price of between RM 330k to RM 380k.

These numbers are slightly higher than the current XC60 on sale, which goes for RM266,888 on-the-road without insurance for the T5, and RM298,888 for the T6 (keep in mind these are CKD prices). Aside from the Drive-E engines, the new XC60 can also be equipped with the T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid powertrain, although it isn’t confirmed what will be offered to customers.

Similarly, it is unknown what trim packages will be paired with the available powertrains. Previously, we’ve already sighted an example wearing the R-Design trim package while roaming around in Glenmarie. This could be one of the trim packages made available, with the Inscription being another likelihood.

It isn’t noted either if the XC60 will arrive in fully-imported (CBU) or locally-assembled (CKD) form at launch. The SUV could adopt the approach of the S90 and XC90, where by the first few units are CBU, followed by CKD production later on. The estimated prices provided by Sisma Auto certainly suggests this, but nothing is set in stone yet.
