The SsangYong Rexton Sports, previously the ‘SsangYong Q200’, is a new one-tonne pickup truck. It is based on the G4 SsangYong Rexton, evident looking at the front-end and the interior. SsangYong will reportedly offer the fourth gen pickup in 5-metre and 5.4-metre versions. The longer version is expected to have a 400 mm longer load box than the former.

The SsangYong Rexton Sports is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 187 PS and 419 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission comes standard. While the Rexton is available with a Mercedes 7-speed automatic transmission, the Rexton Sports gets an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic transmission as an option. The 4-Tronic 4WD system with differential lock is optional.

HID headlamps, LED DRLs, 20-inch alloy wheels, Supervision instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control system, leather steering wheel, leather dashboard covering, Nappa leather seats and power adjustment for the driver’s seat are some of the known key features of the SsangYong Rexton Sports.

The SsangYong Rexton Sports will launch in South Korea in four grades, with prices starting at 23,50,000 Won.
