The new sedan Chery made its debut at the Beijing
Auto Show. On the home market model will be released in the third quarter of
this year.
Sedan is presented under the name Arrizo GX. To remind, a few days ago the network posted spy photos of this model, on those
pictures the sedan had another nameplate – Arrizo 6. It is possible that the GX
is the name only for the motor show.
The model is built on the platform M1X, developed by
Chery in conjunction with Jaguar Land Rover. According to the Chinese media,
the length of the sedan is 4,700 mm, which is 128 mm larger than the Arrizo 5,
and 48 mm more than the Arrizo 7. The wheelbase is 2,670 mm in size.
The remaining dimensions for all three sedans are the same: width – 1,825 mm,
height – 1,482 mm.
The front part of Arrizo GX is designed in a brand
new brand style. In particular, the sedan received a radiator grille,
headlights and LED strips of daytime running lights, like the Tiggo 8
crossover.
It is expected that the sedan will be offered with a gasoline 4-cylinder turbo
engine 1.5, familiar to other models of the brand. For example, the same engine
is in the range and Arrizo 5 (in the Sport version), and Arrizo 7. The engine
output is 147 hp and 210 Nm, it mate with a five-speed manual or
automatic transmission. The flagship Arrizo 7 still has a 152 hp version of
this engine.
In China, sales of the model start in the third
quarter of this year. In other countries, the Arrizo GX is likely to appear in
a year and a half since entering the home market.
