If you live outside of the United States, Mustang
ownership tends to become even more special, as American muscle cars aren’t
that widespread in the rest of the world.
It’s no wonder then that European tuners such as
Carlex Design are more than happy to take a stock, latest-gen Mustang and
tuning it. In this case, this translates to adding more high-quality, soft
touch surfaces – and yes, leather is always the answer.
Indeed, today’s Mustang features a much better
interior than any of its predecessors. Where older models were full of hard
plastics, this latest one is a lot more “European”, if you will. As for this
particular car, it’s definitely on the high end of the custom interior
spectrum.
Visually, the red leather surfaces spark a strong
contrast to the rest of the dashboard, as well as the dark door panels. It’s
the custom seats that arguably stand out most, thanks to their design pattern,
while the steering wheel has a red center hub, red contrast stitching and a red
stripe on top.
Still, overall this interior is pretty tame compared
to other Mustang projects that Carlex has worked on in the past, like this
bespoke red and white Roush Mustang cabin, for example. Or this dual-tone beige
leather and carbon interior that’s definitely more extravagant than the one
pictured here.
