Hyundai announced U.S. pricing and range details of
the facelifted 2019 Tucson, which is available at dealers nationwide.
The redesigned 2019 Tucson now comes with more
advanced safety systems as standard, including Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning and Driver Attention
Warning.
The new Tucson features new headlights and LED DRLs,
a more characteristic cascading front grille, new front and rear bumpers, new
wheel designs and redesigned taillights.
The biggest difference however is to be found
inside. For the 2019MY, the Tucson is getting a new dashboard design that’s
more in line with the brand’s latest models. A seven-inch infotainment system
with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a free three-year subscription to
Hyundai’s Blue Link services is offered as standard, while more expensive
models get an eight-inch infotainment display.
The engine range is also revised, as Hyundai has
ditched the 175 hp 1.6-liter Turbo unit in favor of a 181 hp 2.4-liter engine.
Base models get a 2.0-liter engine with 164 hp and 151 lb-ft. All models are
fitted with a six-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive is
optional.
Prices for the 2019 Hyundai Tucson start from US$ 24,245 (including a US$ 1,045 freight charge) for the FWD 2.0-liter SE model. An
extra US$ 1,400 will get you all-wheel drive, while the top of the line AWD
2.4-liter Ultimate goes for US$ 33,995.
