BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo is strictly limited to 99 examples, offered in both
Coupe and Convertible styles, although it’s the Coupe that gets AWD as an
option. Power is still coming from a twin-turbo 3.0-liter straight six engine,
only now it’s fitted with a lightweight Akrapovic titanium exhaust system
designed exclusively for the Edition 99, helping it save 7 kg.
Power figures are set at 445 hp and a solid 680 Nm of torque, constantly available between 3,000 and 4,500 rpm.
The engine is bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission that features a
set of Alpina’s all-new bigger shift paddles, which are machined from solid
aluminum and are finished in matte black. All models come with a limited-slip
differential as well.
Alpina claims that the all-wheel drive version of
the B4 S Edition 99 Coupe is capable of hitting 100 km/h in 3.9
seconds, followed by 303 km/h top speed. The rear-drive Coupe version
scores 4.2 seconds and 306 km/h respectively.
The exterior of the Edition 99 can be finished in
exclusive paint options, such as Grigio Medio and Fire Orange, while the
bodywork features high-gloss black trim elements. Meanwhile, the 20-inch Alpina
Classic wheels are finished in Ferric Grey, but you can also get two exclusive
Deco-Set options in matte black or matte blue.
The cabin is finished in the finest materials,
portraying Alpina’s exceptional craftsmanship. Alcantara, leather and
hand-finished stitching create a beautiful environment that also features
electrically adjustable clubsport seats.
The new Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 is available
to order now in Germany, with prices starting from 74,705 euros (US$ 84,700) for
the Coupe and 80,756 euros (US$ 91,555) for the Convertible.
