Another bike to be launched today is the FB Mondial
HPS 300, which has been priced at INR 3,37,000 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). At
this price point, the HPS 300 rivals the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R. The
HPS 300 is a neo-retro roadster with a design that is a combination of a cafe
racer and a scrambler.
FB Mondial is an Italian company, which will be
marketed in India and other Asian markets exclusively by Kinetic Group-owned
MotoRoyale. The FB Mondial HPS 300 employs a Piaggio-sourced 249 cc,
single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with fuel injection. This engine churns
out 25 PS of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 22 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
It mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 features inverted front forks
and an adjustable rear mono-shock. Anchorage comes from petal disc brakes at
both the ends with standard ABS. The motorcycle features 18- and 17-inch
wire-spoke wheels at the front and back, respectively.
