The 2019 Mercedes CLS went into production back in January, but the automaker has finally announced US pricing. The entry-level CLS 450 starts at US$ 69,200 and it comes nicely equipped with a standard AMG body kit, LED lighting units and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, drivers will find power heated front seats, leather upholstery and five different wood trim options. The model also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power sunroof and an MB-Tex dashboard with topstitching. Other highlights include a three person rear seat, LED ambient lighting and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with standard GPS navigation.

As usual, Mercedes will offer an assortment of different options including a US$ 970 AMG Line package which adds a sport steering wheel, brush aluminum pedals and sportier 19-inch wheels. Other tempting options include Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated front seats and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Customers can also order a Driver Assistance Package which adds an assortment of features such as active lane keeping assist, active cruise control and active brake assist with a cross-traffic function – just to name a few.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 362 hp and 499 Nm of torque. It is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission which enables the CLS to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 5.1 seconds.

Customers can also order the CLS 450 4MATIC which starts at US$ 71,700. Thanks to all-wheel drive, the model is a tad faster as the dash to 96 km/h takes 4.8 seconds. However, the car is slightly less fuel efficient as it has a fuel economy rating of 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.

For a little more, fans can upgrade to the Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 which starts at US$ 79,900. It features a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 429 hp and 520 Nm of torque. Thanks to the extra power, the model can run from 0-96 km/h in an estimated 4.4 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 209 km/h.
