The new generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class may be a lot of things, but a hot minivan it is not. And from the look of things, Stuttgart has no plans on making one. So, what’s with the deal with this proposal for a Mercedes-AMG B35? Well, it’s a rendering we stumbled upon, made by XTomi. The digital take shows the newcomer into the compact segment for MPVs dressed in some of Affalterbach’s design elements, taken from the A35.

And while there might be some who dig the new look, even with the new turbo’d 2.0-liter four-banger breathing air from behind the grille, it’s not really the type of AMG model that would keep aficionados up at night, right? Plus, let’s not forget that adopting a potent engine alongside a tweaked chassis, new body kit and special interior amenities would also make it too expensive for a car in this segment.

Mercedes-AMG already has the A35 hot hatchback out, and will apply the same treatment to the sedan derivative, which should cater not only to those living in Europe, but to U.S. residents, too, as it’s the one coming to America.

The second-gen CLA is said to benefit from the same line of upgrades, too, and the German brand will probably apply the treatment to the next GLA as well.
