Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the road-biased version
of the XPulse 200 at the 2018 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. Christened
as the XPulse 200T, the new motorcycle is a ‘Tourer’ that features a tall
windscreen and alloy wheels instead of wire-spoke units that are seen on the
off-road spec model.
A host of safety and convenience includes
single-channel ABS, LED head and tail lamps, digital speedometer with Bluetooth
connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. While the XPulse 200T is a touring
motorcycle, the XPulse 200 will cater to the adventurers beyond paved roads.
Both XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T are likely to be launched towards the beginning
of next year.
Hero MotoCorp did not share mechanical
specifications in its announcement. However, we expect to see the same 200cc
motor on the XPulse 200T that also propels the XPulse 200. Thus, we would most
likely see the 200cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers a
maximum power of 18 bhp at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 17 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The
engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
