TVS Motor Company
has launched the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V in Bangladesh. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V
will be the flagship offering from TVS Motor Company in Bangladesh. The motorcycle
has been developed from the six-time INMRC (Indian National Motorcycle Racing
Championship)-winning motorcycle, the TVS RTR 165. The bike features a 4-valve,
oil-cooled motor that offers class-leading performance.
While the
Indian-spec model is available in fuel injection and carburettor variants, the
Bangladeshi-spec TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is offered only with a carburettor. It
sources power from a 159.7 cc, 4-valve, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that
is capable of pumping out a maximum power of 16.5 PS at 8,000 rpm while
developing a peak torque of 14.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a
five-speed transmission.
The TVS Apache RTR
160 4V displays its racing pedigree with a top speed of 113 km/h. The
motorcycle receives a best-in-segment power-to-weight ratio, which enables it
to sprint from 0-60 km/h in 4.73 seconds. The Apache RTR 160 4V is underpinned
by the patented double-cradle split synchro stiff frame design, which offers high-speed
stability and handling.
Suspension duties
are carried out by telescopic forks at the front and a rear mono-shock, which
are precision-tuned by taking inputs from TVS Racing riders. Stopping power
comes from disc brakes at both the ends. The motorcycle is available in three
colour options - Racing Red, Racing Blue and Racing Black. The bike features a
fully-digital instrument cluster.
