Little-known Polish bike manufacturer Romet Motorcycles seems to be planning a foray into India as the Romet ADV 125FI Pro adventure bike has been spied in the country for the first time. Being an adventure motorcycle, most believed the bike to be the upcoming UM DSR ADV. A simple Google search revealed it to be the Romet ADV 125FI Pro. That said, we aren't sure when or if Romet Motorcycles plans to launch its range of bikes in India, but chances of it being a private import are next to none.

The adventure tourer employs a 125cc single-cylinder, two-valve engine that is good for 10.5 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 9.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle costs PLN 9999 (INR 1.86 lakh approx.) in Poland.

The ADV 125FI Pro is a road-biased tourer than an out and out off-roader as it rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that wrap with 100- and 120-section tubeless tyres at the front and back, respectively. Chunky upside-down forks perform suspension duties up front supported by a mono-shock at the rear. The motorcycle features optional saddle stays with panniers and a top-box.

The sighting of the Romet 125 FI Pro in India is a bit strange. The 125cc segment hardly has any performance motorcycles apart from the recently launched KTM 125 Duke naked roadster. India doesn't have a market for beginner ADV motorcycles currently, and we don't expect the segment to develop rapidly anytime soon. The company also has the Romet ADV 250 in its portfolio, which could be an ideal competitor for the upcoming Hero XPulse 200.
