There will probably come a day when even mainstream
automakers such as Seat will no longer need to adhere to conventional designs
for their products, as cars will be completely reliant on computers and battery
power to get around.
So in the future, we’re bound to see quite a few
spectacular-looking vehicles, since many of today’s aerodynamic solutions will
become obsolete due to different packaging, unless of course we’re dealing with
a supercar or a hypercar that need to satisfy a completely different set of
needs.
For a mass-market compact crossover, we see no
reason why something that looks very much like this render by Aitor Amigo Lopez
shouldn’t see the light of day.According to its creator, the Vitoria moniker
was given in reference to the Basque municipality that goes by the same name.
Meanwhile, features that would help this concept stand out are its spacious
interior despite the compact exterior, the battery-electric powertrain and its
Level 5 autonomous systems, meaning that the vehicle is fully self-driving.
A very interesting piece of tech is the facial
recognition system, which together with a fingerprint reader (those circular
buttons on the doors) would make entry real easy without having to operate a
key fob and yank on a door handle – and probably safer, too.
Once inside, you would of course have access to
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a personal assistant,
which we assume would be infinitely better than anything available today, seen
as how the Vitoria was designed for the year 2030.
