If your idea of a muscle car looks like a cross
between a Ford Mustang and a Ford Falcon, then you’re going to enjoy looking at
this Tauler E301 Concept render. The car was named after 14th century German theologian Johannes
Tauler and it’s meant to represent a sort of modern-day “sports-muscle coupe”.
As for who designed it, that would be one David Stingl, who is clearly a fan of
rear-wheel drive two-door cars – as are most driving enthusiasts.
For starters, the front end design, the powerful
shoulder line and even the long rear overhang. It almost looks like a
“longtail”, but clearly not in a conventional way.
The overall aesthetic is sufficiently modern,
although more so in a way best suited for a few years ago, rather than
something that might hypothetically go into production a few years from now.
Its classic lines are by no means retro, nor are they futuristic in any way
shape or form. Then there’s the DRL design, which seems a little understated
for this day and age, yet some people might actually like that.
