Mugen, one of the
world’s most respected Honda specialists, had a few news to share with their
Japanese audience at the Tokyo Auto Salon Aside from giving the Honda Civic
Type R a face only a mother could love, Mugen is also showcasing its latest
styling kits for some of the company’s other models, including the Insight,
CR-V and N-Van.
Mugen’s new kits
include a full body kit, bigger alloys and various other accessories for all
three models. Unfortunately there’s no actual performance-enhancing component
in the list, aside from a new exhaust on the Insight and N-Van models.
The Mugen Insight
features a front lower spoiler and grille detailing, fatter side skirts, a rear
under spoiler and a subtle wing. A set of 18-inch alloys shod in 225/40 tires
complete the changes.
The Mugen CR-V gets
a similar bodywork treatment and a set of 19-inch lightweight alloys wrapped in
235/55 tires. As for the tiny N-Van, Mugen’s idea was to turn it into the
perfect daily for motorsport fans, giving it more visual presence with a black
front spoiler with LEDs, a rear bumper insert, race-inspired graphics, a sports
exhaust and new 12-inch alloys.
If you like your
Honda looking sporty but don’t miss the horsepower, Mugen clearly has you
covered. All you have to do is live in Japan.
