The ADR 630 Shooting Grand is the spiritual heir to
the six-cylinder Austro Daimler Bergmeister of the early 1930s. However, this
modern version features plug-in hybrid technology and an electric range of 250
km.
It’s also one of the most spectacular vehicles to
attend this year’s Salon Privé event, boasting a 1,198 PS powertrain
that also produces 1,600 Nm of torque. As a result, in a straight
line, it will hit 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and max out at 330 km/h. Making all of this possible is a Mercedes-AMG GT along with its
in-line six unit, working in tandem with three high-performance electric motors
and a 55 kW lithium-ion battery.
The ADR 630 Shooting Grand definitely looks like it
woke up in the wrong century, albeit in a good way. Its double-bubble roof and
rising rear roofline take us back to cars of the 1930s, while the headlights,
wrap-around rear light panels and the lavish interior, are all inspired by the
art deco style from that period.
In terms of size, this is definitely not a small
car. It measures 4,544 mm in length, is 2,087 mm wide, stands 1,331 mm tall and has a 2,637 mm wheelbase.
At 1,650 kg, it’s no featherweight, but it’s not too heavy either.
