General Motors is ready to launch sales of its new
Chevrolet Trailblazer crossover. Recall, the 2020 model was presented at the
Shanghai Motor Show. Now, under this name, buyers will be offered a compact cross
with a monocoque body, and not a mid-size frame SUV, as before. In terms of
design, the novelty has taken little from its predecessor. This is a completely
new “appearance” in the spirit of the latest SUV brand – Chevrolet Tracker and
Orlando. Here and branded grille, and two-tier head optics.
Large 19-inch wheels, a stylish off-road body kit, a
rear diffuser with a pair of exhaust pipes and a two-color body are available
for RS modifications. Inside the Trailblazer RS, there are red inserts, leather
trim with contrasting stitching, as well as metal plates on the pedals and
sills.
In the movement of the SUV leads a 165-hp 1.3-liter turbo engine, combined with a nine-step hydro-manual”automatic”. In
the “base” crossover relies front-wheel drive, full – only as an option. Also,
in order to stir up the interest of buyers to their new product, the
manufacturer extended the warranty on the engine and transmission to eight
years or 160,000 kilometers. Sales of Chevrolet Trailblazer in China will begin
in September. At present, a test assembly of the crossover is underway at a
joint GM and SAIC plant.
