Hertz has a long history of offering high-performance rental cars and that trend continues as the company has teamed up with Hendrick Motorsports to offer a new line of modified Chevrolet Camaros. Based on the Camaro SS and Camaro ZL1, the models feature a familiar two-tone livery that consists of Hertz’s signature colors of black and yellow.

The upgrades don’t end there as the Camaro SS has been equipped with 20-inch satin black wheels and Hertz fender badges. Inside, there’s illuminated door sill plates, an individually numbered plaque and embroidered headrests that feature William Byron’s signature as well as the Number 24 team logo.

On the performance front, the car has been equipped with a strut tower brace, a cold air intake and a cat-back dual exhaust system. The latter upgrades enable the 6.2-liter V8 engine to produce 480 hp an increase of 25 hp over the standard model.

Of course, if you’re looking for performance, you’ll want to opt for the Hertz-Hendrick Motorsports Camaro ZL1. It features the same styling changes as the Camaro SS, but the model is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that has been outfitted with a larger Callaway Supercharger. Thanks to this change, the car develops 750 hp which is 130 hp more than stock.

200 Camaro SS’ will be made and they will be available to rent at Hertz airport locations in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco and Tampa.

The Camaro ZL1 is a rarer beast as Hendrick Motorsports will only build 24 units for Hertz. Given its rarity, the model will only be available at a handful of locations including Charlotte, Las Vegas Miami, Orlando and Phoenix.
