Jaguar USA has
released details about the latest addition to the 2020 E-Pace SUV range: the
Checkered Flag Limited Edition. Already available in Europe, the special
edition E-Pace brings unique design enhancements and upgraded standard
specification for a starting MSRP of US$ 46,400, excluding a US$ 995 destination fee.
For the money,
customers get a flashier exterior featuring R-Dynamic body-colored front and
rear bumpers, twin tailpipes, and LED headlamps with signature J-blade daytime
running lights. The limited-run E-Pace also gains a Black Exterior Pack,
‘Checkered Flag’ exterior side badging and 19-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels.
There are three exterior colors available: Photon Red (exclusive to this
model), Corris Grey, and Yulong White.
Inside, the
features branded tread plates, Ebony Grained Leather upholstery with red
stitching, R-Dynamic branded Soft Grain Leather Sport steering wheel, black
gearshift paddles, and an Ebony Morzine headliner. The list of standard
features is extensive and includes a powered tailgate, keyless entry, 10-way
heated front seats, a fixed panoramic roof, and 12.3-inch TFT Interactive
Driver Display. The 2020 E-Pace Checkered Flag Edition is powered by a 246 HP 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine with standard
AWD.
If you find the
special edition model’s price excessive, the base 2020 Jaguar E-Pace P250 AWD
featuring the same powertrain starts at US$ 39,950. The range also includes the
P300 R-Dynamic AWD model powered by a 296 hp turbo-four available from US$ 46,600 (both prices excluding US$ 995 destination).
Besides the
introduction of the Checkered Flag Edition, 2020 model year updates for all
E-Pace models include standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and offer new
available features including the Smart Settings self-learning driver
recognition feature and Adaptive Dynamics system.
