Honda
has announced its lineup for the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon, where the carmaker will
have a distinct stand from the Honda Access booth we told you a few days ago.
While
Honda Access will bring an S2000 20th Anniversary Prototype and the Civic Cyber
Night Japan Cruiser 2020, the carmaker’s presence will also include two Modulo
X concepts based on the all-new Fit/Jazz and the facelifted Freed minivan.
No
details were offered about these pre-production concepts but the photos are
pretty self-explanatory. The Fit supermini receives a more aggressive front
fascia, including a larger Modulo X honeycomb grille and a sharp-cut bumper
that houses a wider lower grille.
We
can also spot motorsport-inspired black alloy wheels, black-painted mirror
caps, a new black trim element marking the doors’ lower edges, and a black
roof. At the rear, the Honda Fit Modulo X Concept sports smoked taillights and
redesigned rear bumper incorporating a diffuser-like trim and vertical inserts
that look like vents. The black roof spoiler appears bigger than on the
production model.
The
Honda Freed Modulo X Concept brings similar updates, including a sharper body
kit with more aggressive bumpers, side skirts, custom wheels, a massive roof spoiler,
and black elements.
Besides
these two Modulo X concepts, Honda’s stand will also feature the Vezel Modulo
X, as well as several other production cars including the updated 2020 Civic
sedan and hatchback, updated 2020 Honda S660, and NSX supercar decked in the
new Indy Yellow Pearl heritage color.
There
will be a Mugen Fit Prototype as well, with other exhibits including a Mugen
S660 Concept, N-One Cafe Racer Concept, and CR-V Black Edition Custom Concept.
Unfortunately, no photos of these models are available at the moment, but we’ll
bring them to you as soon as they surface on the web.
