The Dubai Police have just added a new
vehicle to their fleet in the form of a Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S. Over the years,
authorities in the bustling Middle Eastern city have added a staggering array
of exotics to their police fleet in a bid to increase its security presence in
popular tourist destinations.
Like many other high-end vehicles from
the local police force, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S will spend most of its time at
different tourist spots and landmark areas across the emirate, providing
members of the public with important police information and advice.
There has been a staggering array of
high-end vehicles used by Dubai Police over the years. Among the vehicles
previously used or still currently used by the force include a Bugatti Veyron,
Porsche 918 Spyder, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, BMW M5, Brabus G-Wagon, Nissan GT-R,
McLaren 12C, Audi R8, Ferrari FF, and a Bentley Continental GT.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S is a beast in
its own right, even though it may not be quite as exotic or fast as some of the
other vehicles used by the Dubai Police. Powering the performance sedan is a
4.0-liter twin-turbocharged AMG V8 engine pumping out no less than 630 hp and 900 Nm of torque through an all-wheel drive system. It’s capable of
reaching 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and can max out at 315
km/h.
