Mazda has announced pricing details on the 2020 CX-3 which now packs more kit as standard and is offered in just one trim level, namely the Sport. The 2020 Mazda CX-3 Sport is now priced from US$ 21,685 (including a US$ 1,045 destination and handling fee), while the all-wheel drive version costs from US$ 23,085. The first examples of the subcompact crossover will arrive in Mazda dealerships this month.
A previous report on the matter appears to be true, with Mazda opting to ditch two of the three previously available trim levels, arguably to create more breathing room for the CX-3 with the arrival of the CX-30 (which starts from US$ 22,945, including destination).
Power for the 2020 Mazda CX-3 is sourced from a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G petrol four-cylinder unit that pumps out 148 HP and 146 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is fitted as standard.
Leaving the CX-3 with just one trim level means that Mazda has added a lot more equipment as standard; that includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, the Active Driving Display, automatic climate control and rain-sensing wipers. A seven-inch touchscreen displays hosts the Mazda Connect infotainment system, while features like a push button start and keyless entry are also standard.
Mazda has also added its i-Activsense suite of safety features to the list of the standard equipment; this includes a Radar Cruise Control with stop and go function, Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection,Lane Departure Warning and many more.
The 2020 Mazda CX-3 Sport features all LED exterior lighting, with the headlights getting an automatic on/off function, and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels as standard.
