The official name on this one is the Flying Huntsman Type 77 Electric Bicycle, a retro-styled electric bicycle that costs £ 4,000 in the UK, including tax. The e-bike can be personalized so that you won’t see another one like yours anywhere, without losing that classic motorcycle theme.
Carbon fiber is part of the construction, with the lightweight material being used on the handcrafted tank and fenders. Front and rear lighting can be turned on or off at the push of a button and the digital display reveals the remaining battery, traveling speed and others. With the 468 Wh battery, you can travel for 50 km, but customers can upgrade to the 648 Wh for an extra 25 km.
Positioned in the center is the electric motor, which is hooked up to a single-speed transmission. The bike also features pedal sensors that measure the effort applied, so that it can automatically provide extra assistance via the motor, helping users get uphill without breaking a sweat. The retro-styled tires are said to provide good traction and comfort in all road conditions, whereas the stopping power comes from the hydraulic brakes.
For another £ 165.83, Kahn is also offering an open-face motorcycle-style helmet, with a hand-stitched leather cover and click-n-secure closure that can be operated with one hand.
