After providing a glimpse inside the Vision In Concept right before the Winter Holidays, Skoda has now teased the exterior design with a couple of official sketches. Due to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi, which runs between February 5 and 12, the show car previews a compact crossover aimed at the Indian market, set to launch later this year with the VW Group’s MQB A0 platform underneath its skin.
As for the styling, the renderings portray it with Skoda’s signature grille, flanked by a couple of split-headlights that are positioned on top of the side air intakes. Further down, we can see the aluminum apron, while the muscular hood contributes to the look. The Vision In sports fender flares, pop-out door handles, roof rails, a unique lighting signature at the back, illuminated ‘Skoda’ lettering between the tail lamps, and an aluminum diffuser that copies the styling of the front apron. The plastic cladding and oversized wheels round up the design.
The youthful exterior styling elements are joined by a very lively cabin, with a multi-layer dashboard and orange accents present all around. The 4.26-meter long study features a wide-screen infotainment system, digital instrument dials, multi-function steering wheel with a three-spoke design and tiny gear selector.
While the number of buttons has been trimmed down for artistic purposes, additional switches might be added to the final production version – which we don’t expect will look as dynamic as the Vision In.
