Wagons may not be everyone’s cup of tea,
but it’s hard to say no to a ballistic missile like the Audi RS6 Avant, with
supercar levels of power and performance, and enough room for the family and
their luggage.
The model is neck-snapping fast without
any outside intervention, as the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, used in the latest
iteration, develops 592 HP and 800 Nm of torque.
MTM, however, thinks that it could make do with even more oomph, so they have
launched a performance upgrade that unleashes a whopping 712 HP and 950 Nm.
We cannot answer the ‘how fast is it’
question, as MTM did not say anything about the performance, but it should
improve on the stock RS6’s numbers that does the 0-100 km/h in 3.6
seconds and maxes out at 305 km/h. We could tell you about other
numbers, though, such as the cost of having such a beast parked in the
driveway: € 9,998.99 (US$ 11,089) for the conversion of the factory ECU and another
€ 4,249.99 (US$ 4,713) for the M-Cantronic Generation II. The exhaust system adds
€ 399 (US$ 443) and comes with two electronic flaps, for enhanced sound, and a
remote control.
On MTM’s shelves, we also found a height
adjustable suspension kit for € 899 (US$ 997) and 20 or 30 mm spacers
for € 127.85 (US$ 142) per axle, with the 40 mm ones setting you back
€ 139.75 (US$ 155). You could also enhance the look of the super executive estate
by adding their stickers on the outside for € 124.88 (US$ 139) or in the cabin for
an additional € 59.76 (US$ 67), alongside a few keyrings and other accessories.
Prices include tax and are available for the German market.
So, have they convinced you to invest that
much into the new RS6 Avant, given that you already own one, of course, or
would you rather keep it stock? As easy it may be to say no to the stickers,
it’s pretty hard to ignore that your ride would become more powerful than the
Lamborghini Urus, whose 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 pumps out 641 HP and 850 Nm of torque.
