BMW has a long and rich history with
contemporary art and at the Frieze Los Angeles 2020 being held at the Paramount
Pictures Studios in Hollywood from Feb 14-16, it will reveal three special
versions of the M2 Competition worked on by artist FUTURA 2000 alongside a
production limited edition.
Each of the three original cars sport
19-inch jet black light alloy wheels with one of them dominated largely by
black paint surfaces while the other sports a grey paint scheme with
eye-catching graphics. The cars were hand-painted by the artist at BMW’s
headquarters in Munich.
The insides of the unique M2 Competition
models are also rather special and sport distinct designs with bi-colored,
Dakota M sports seats in black and white ivory leather with polar blue contrast
stitching. Each model also comes complete with an M Alcantara leather-clad
sports steering wheel.
BMW has yet to release images of the
FUTURA 2000-designed M2 Competition that it will produce in a limited batch for
customers.
