Not too long ago, car manufacturers were
looking to launch the most affordable electric cars possible but in the last 12
months or so, much of the focus from many brands has been the growing world of
electric pickup trucks. Fisker is just the latest.
It’s only been a little while since the
all-electric Fisker Ocean SUV was presented to the world and the company headed
up by Henrik Fisker is thinking about its next creation. Taking to Twitter
recently, Henrik Fisker shared an image previewing the rear of a Fisker pickup
dubbed the Alaska but before long, the tweet was deleted. Thankfully, Car and
Driver got a screenshot of the tweet before it was deleted.
The pickup depicted in the teaser image
has an aggressive and sharp design with a large third brake light on the roof,
thin taillights, and a set of massively-wide off-road wheels and tires. There
is also a large badge on the tailgate reading ‘Alaska’. Shortly after Henrik
Fisker published the tweet, he replied “Sorry mistake: will delete.”
The electric pickup space is booming with
vehicles like the Rivian R1T, Tesla Cybertruck, Bollinger B2, Nikola Badger,
Lordstown Endurance, electric Ford F-150, and the new Hummer EV Pickup all
heading towards production.
