Since Mercedes-Benz has confirmed it will
pull the plug on the X-Class at the end of May, Carlex Design has decided to
pay one final tribute to the premium pickup. The Polish tuner has announced two
special versions of the X-Class that will definitely not go unnoticed. Called
Off-Road Final Edition and Extreme Final Edition, the modded trucks pack unique
exterior accessories and completely overhauled interiors.
The main difference between the two
special X-Class models seems to be the exterior and upholstery color: bright
red on the Off-Road Final Edition and black on the Extreme Final Edition. On
the outside, Carlex Design’s X-Class Final Editions feature a rugged body kit
covered with Line-X and painted in the same color as the bodywork, as well as
carbon add-ons. Off-road accessories include a roof light bar with Lazer LEDs,
front skid plate, a tonneau cover, chunky side sills and all-terrain tires.
Customers can also opt for the “Final Edition” body stickers.
Inside, the X-Class Final Edition trucks
are radically transformed thanks to the opulent leather upholstery in red or
black decorated with off-road seams and embossing, carbon dashboard panel, and
styled meter dials.
Carlex also throws in sports front seats,
a reshaped steering wheel wrapped with red and black leather, and red leather
accents on the armrests and gear shift lever. Rounding out the interior
overhaul are the ‘Final Edition’ logos on the headrests, tread plates and
dashboard carbon trim.
These tuned trucks are definitely not for
customers who want to fly under the radar (especially the red one) but they
look really tame compared to another one of Carlex Design’s creations – the 6×6
Exy Monster X Concept.
