If you’ve been gunning for a reasonably spec’d VW Polo in the UK, then you might be in luck. The second-tier SE trim level is making way for the so-called ‘Match’ spec, featuring additional kit for the starting price of £ 16,465 (US$ 21,509). The Match adds 15-inch ‘Seyene’ alloys, front fog lights, tinted rear windows, plus front and rear parking sensors. All that would have cost an extra  £ 980 (US$ 1,280) on the Polo SE.

Buyers can opt for either the 1.0-liter 80 PS 5-speed manual model, which is the entry-level one, or the 1.0-liter TSI 95 PS, which can be had either with a 5-speed manual (£ 17,180 / US$ 22,444) or a 7-speed DSG (£ 18,530 / US$ 24,200).

Meanwhile, standard features include Car-Net App Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.0-inch Composition Media infotainment system, plus lumbar adjustment for the front seats.

The 2020 VW Polo range costs upwards of £ 15,390 (US$ 20,105) in the UK, but it can set you back as much as £ 23,520 (US$ 30,725) if you opt for the GTI Plus version.
