The Cowin Showjet SUV, known locally in China as the Kaiyi Xuanjie, only hit the showroom floors this summer – but the manufacturer is actually already testing its 2021MY version.
Based on the pics thus far available, the
front fascia and the cabin will be the most changed elements. The large
radiator grille becomes a narrower strip, and a trapezoid air intake appears in
the space thus freed. Inside, the steering wheel and the dashboard are new, the
multimedia display is now standalone, and the air vents along with the center
tunnel and drive more selector have all been retouched slightly.
The Showjet is identical to the Chery
Tiggo 5x series in terms of powertrain and tech, while sporting an all-new body
design. It comes powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 116 PS and 143 Nm of torque, which links to a five-speed
manual transmission.
