It has been revealed that Ford will launch a ‘Heritage Edition’ variant of the 2022 Ford Bronco. While production of the 2021 Bronco isn’t scheduled to begin for a few more months, the Bronco6g forum managed to uncover details for Heritage Edition variants of the two-door and four-door Bronco. The only bad news is that customers will have to wait until the 2022 model year for them to be released.
There are no details available as to what
will distinguish the Heritage Edition model from other variants of the Bronco.
Mind you, it won’t be the only such model that Ford offers, as it has also
launched a Heritage Edition of the GT supercar.
In all likelihood, the Bronco Heritage
Edition won’t benefit from any mechanical modifications over other variants and
will instead be offered in a handful of new color schemes inspired by the
original Bronco, although that’s just speculation on our part. It’s also
unclear if this will be a regular series model or a limited-run.
Ford had intended on commencing production
of the 2021 Bronco this spring, but in December, announced that deliveries
would be delayed until the summer of 2021 due to COVID-related challenges being
experienced by some suppliers. The automaker also confirmed that the pandemic
has delayed development work for retooling.
