The Nissan Frontier is one of the ‘oldest’ new vehicles you can buy as the truck hasn’t been redesigned in nearly two decades. That’s going to change soon as the company has announced the all-new Frontier will debut on February 4th at 1:00pm EST.
Nissan is keeping details under wraps, but
an image of the truck was shown at the unveiling of the new Navara. It showed
the Frontier will have a mesh grille that is flanked by relatively slender
headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights.
Inside, drivers will find a significantly
improved interior with higher quality materials. Details are limited, but
previous spy photos have shown truck will feature analog gauges and a new
infotainment system. We can also expect rubberized knobs with metallic accents
as well as more luxurious features such as heated leather steering wheel.
Power will be provided by a 3.8-liter V6
engine that produces 310 hp and 381 Nm of torque.
It will be paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission and an optional
four-wheel drive system. The redesigned truck will be shown alongside the 2022
Pathfinder, which will be heavily influenced by the Rogue. Little else is known
about the crossover, but the current model has a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 284
hp and 351 Nm of torque.
