AddArmor has worked on a project: a Ford F-150 Raptor-based Hennessey VelociRaptor. To create this special VelociRaptor, AddArmor uses a material known as Dyneema that is said to be 15 times stronger than steel and 40 per cent stronger than Kevlar. This material can withstand rounds from an AK-47, as well as improvised explosive devices, and will ensure that the owner and passengers are always protected.

It’s not just the armor plating that makes this pickup unique. AddArmor has also equipped the truck with a special security package that adds electric-shock door handles, a counter-attack sound system, concealed front and rear bumpers, a dual battery system, an intercom system, siren and stone lights, and even bomb scanning capabilities. The VelociRaptor is also rocking a set of run-flat tires that are rated for speeds of up to 80 km/h. Elsewhere, AddAmor has fitted a set of beefed-up Brembo brakes and a front suspension leveling kit.

As this is a Hennessey VelociRaptor as opposed to a standard F-150 Raptor, it had undergone a host of modifications before AddArmor got its hands on it. Most notably, the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine has been upgraded to 600 hp, allowing it to hit 96 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

AddArmor can handle a host of different requests from customers. Security packages like the one featured on this pickup typically cost around US$ 30,000.
