Audi has released the official online configurator for the 2022 E-Tron GT in the United States. The tool lets users configure their ideal electric sedan that is available in three trim levels. The lineup kicks off with the Premium Plus, which starts at US$ 99,900. It features standard 20-inch two-tone titanium wheels, Matrix LED headlights, Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, electrically adjustable and heated front sports seats, and front cross traffic assist.
The mid-range Prestige is listed from US$ 107,100, adding active lane assist plus, emergency assist and traffic jam
assist. It also brings heated rear seats, LED multi-color ambient lighting,
head-up display and premium sound system from B&O. Finally, the Audi Sport
model, better known as the RS E-Tron GT, starts at US$ 139,900 and is offered with
different 20-inch wheels, carbon fiber roof and exterior optics, surface coated
disc brakes with orange calipers and e-torque vectoring plus. All prices
exclude the US$ 1,045 destination charge.
Having chosen your preferred model, the
range-topper in our case, you will have to go through the exterior colors and
wheel choices, before moving on to the cabin. And it is here where you can go
crazy on the options, as adding everything available will bump the price up to US$ 165,195. That is a lot of money for any car, but it does cost less than the
E-Tron GT’s brother from another mother, the Porsche Taycan, which is available
from US$ 185,000 in the range-topping Turbo S guise.
In terms of power, you are looking at up
to 637 HP and 830 Nm of torque with overboost in the RS model,
which does not step on the Taycan Turbo S’ toes that’s offered with up to 750
HP. The 0-96 km/h sprint takes 3.1 seconds in the Audi, half a
second slower than the Porsche.
