The Lexus LC Coupe is going for a sinister this fall with the new Black Inspiration variant unveiled for the U.K. The brand dispenses with all chrome and nearly any colors whatsoever, replacing them with black. For starters, the car gets a Graphite Black paint finish along with dark 21-inch five-spoke forged alloy wheels that are exclusive to it. The spindle grille, the door mirror casings, the headlight and taillight cluster surrounds are all also finished in black, while a carbon-fiber roof and scuff plates round out the look.
Inside, there are 10-way power-adjustable
front seats finished in fine-quality semi-aniline leather, as well as a
13-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound system, a head-up display, and
a card key, all building on the LC Sport Plus Pack.
The Lexus LC Black Inspiration is
available with both the V8-powered LC 500 and the hybrid LC 500h. The former
makes 464 HP from a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter
eight-cylinder while the latter is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with electrical
assistance that makes 354 HP.
Performance is aided by a Torsen
limited-slip diff, dynamic rear steering and variable gear ratio steering. It
also benefits from comfort features like a heated steering wheel, smart entry,
front seat heating and ventilation, adaptive variable suspension, and safety
features provided by the Lexus Safety System+ suite. Lexus will open order
books and announce pricing for the LC Coupe Black Inspiration on November 1.
