Alveri, a company based in Ried im Innkreis, Austria, has been founded by Zadmard brothers, from Afghanistan, to produce an all-electric car model named Falco.
The project currently only exists as a
terms of reference paper and a few sketches. The Alveri Falco is an
all-wheel-drive station wagon 4.75 meters long with dual
electric motors rated at around 400 hp and an 80-kWh traction battery.
Going from zero to 100 km/h should take 4.8 seconds, and the range
should lie within the general vicinity of 590 kilometers.
Having said that, Zadmard brothers take a
pragmatic approach when it comes to conceptualization. Rather than developing
their own EV platform from scratch – which often ends up being too costly or
challenging to carry out – they plan on licensing Volkswagen’s MEB
architecture. The German automotive giant encourages third parties to buy
rights to that platform to increase production volumes and cut the costs of
individual components.
Alveri is also looking for a partner to
rent a factory with, because building more production facilities is not on
their to-do list, either. The Falco should still have its own body design,
interior and software. The minimum price is estimated at € 49,900. The company
hopes to find the platform supplier before the end of the current year, have a
prototype running by late 2022, and launch full-scale production in 2023.
