Aprilia has just showcased their new range of scooters at the 2021 EICMA motor show in Milan. The range will bear the SR GT nomenclature and will be offered with two engine options, a 125 cc and a 200 cc. There will also be a Sports trim for the SR GT models that will be finished in sport inspired liveries.
The ICE powered scooter will get premium
features including a Start & Stop system, full LED lights, and an LCD
instrument cluster as standard. A mobile connectivity suite called APRILIA MIA
will also be available as an optional extra. The SR GT 125 will get a 14.5 bhp
12 Nm, 125 cc single, while the SR GT 200 gets a 174 cc single that will make
17.43 bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.
The GT tags on both these motorcycles take
design cues from the Aprilia sports and off-road motorcycle, complete with
wide-handlebars, long travel suspension and improved ground clearance and
wider-cross-section tyres. Adding to the credential is a full-LED three element
light setup, with a split fairing and a floating windshield.
The hardware too is pretty up-market with
33mm Showa’s upfront and twin Showa shocks at the back. The braking setup
includes a 260mm disc upfront and a 220mm rotor at the back. Both scooters also
sport with a 14inch front wheel and a 13inch rear wheel. The 200cc single makes
148 kg and the 125cc tips the scale at 144 kg.
